The Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Interpretive Center provides an ideal view of terrain similar to what the duo encountered during their expedition of the Great Falls of the Missouri River. The popular Cowboy's Museum is filled with mementos and relics from the day of the cowboys, stockmen, and pioneers. Great Falls is also the site of Malmstrom Air Force Base, the center of United States' first Minuteman Missile Complex. The museum describes the history of the base, from its role in World War II to the present. Displays at the airpark include a "Huey" helicopter, a Stratotanker used for in-flight refueling, a Minuteman intercontinental ballistic missile, and many aircraft used as fighters and bombers.

Just off I-15 at Exit 277, the Crystal Inn is conveniently located less than a mile from the airport.
